LUCENA CITY — Four policemen were wounded in a shootout with three wanted felons in Guinayangan town in Quezon province on Friday, March 28.
Quezon police gave this report on Saturday, March 29. The suspects sensed the approaching law enforcers and fired at them.
The assailants hit Chief Master Sergeant Crisologo Castillo, Executive Master Sergeant Alex Maigue; Staff Sergeant John James Red; and Chief Master Sergeant Domingo Enraca Jr. from Police Region 5. Castillo and Maigue are both from Guinayangan police station while Red is assigned at Police Region 4A.
The three suspects managed to escape after the shooting and are now the subject of a police manhunt.
The wounded cops were taken to the hospital and are now in stable condition.
