MANILA, Philippines — Two Filipinos filed complaints of serious illegal detention and illegal recruitment against six individuals who allegedly lured them with promises of high-paying overseas jobs, only to coerce, detain, and force them into unauthorized labor.
The complaints were filed at the Tanauan City Prosecutor’s Office in Batangas on November 21, citing serious illegal detention, illegal recruitment, and estafa.
Among the respondents is Italian national Adel En Nouri, who is already facing similar charges, including qualified human trafficking, over his alleged role in a fake overseas recruitment scheme operating in Batangas and Cavite.
