“Les Misérables” has a lot of history within itself. So much deep backstory that Lea Salonga and Rachelle Ann Go have the musical — and their respective tragic heroines — etched deep within their bodies of work. The story is so rich that both theater actresses have no second thoughts when they’re called back into the fold.
“This is my third role in the show. I did the two other dead girls, that’s not a new hashtag, dead girl. But now, to be cast in this spectacular show — and it is spectacular, just look at the vocals, it’s incredible,” said Salonga, who stars as the campy and merciless Madame Thénardier, in the Manila run of “Les Misérables World Tour Spectacular.”
