By MANILA, Philippines — Team captain Vange Alinsug praised rookie Sam Cantada after her late heroics to open National University’s three-peat bid with a pivotal win over University of Santo Tomas in the UAAP Season 88 women’s volleyball tournament.
Alinsug connived with Cantada in the clutch to complete a fourth-set comeback and take down UST, 25-23, 25-19, 22-25, 26-24, on Sunday in front of 15,215 fans at Mall of Asia Arena.
