UAAP: Rey Remogat, UP end slump at expense of UE

MANILA, Philippines—It took the University of the Philippines three games, but it finally broke through the win column of the UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball tournament.

The game also saw Rey Remogat snap out of his slump and it came at the expense of his former team University of the East on Sunday at Araneta Coliseum.

“I guess the growth that we’ve been practicing every day just showed up today,” the shifty guard said lead UP to a 92-75 rout of UE,
“In coach Gold’s (Monteverde) system, everyone can learn because we’re always emphasizing the team’s growth.” Remogat got back his old form and collected 21 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists in 30 minutes of action after averaging just 2.5 points in UP’s first two games.
