Typhoon Bising leaves Philippine area; habagat to stir rains

MANILA — Typhoon Bising left the Philippine area of responsibility before dawn on Monday, PAGASA said, as it warned that the habagat would continue stirring rains over some parts of the country.

Bising, with international name Danas, re-entered the Philippine area of responsibility late Sunday and made landfall over southwestern Taiwan shortly after.

While the typhoon was no longer directly affecting any part of the country, the southwest monsoon or habagat could still bring moderate to heavy rains in Ilocos Region through Tuesday, PAGASA said.
