By TAGAYTAY—Nineteen-year-old Yousef Ibrahiem Alrefai ruled the opening stage of the MPTC Tour of Luzon that ended Wednesday here after a 1-2 finish with teammate Nikita Shulchenko.
The Syrian rider of LCW UAE Cycling Team crossed the finish line at three hours, 36 minutes and 35 seconds after he and Shulchenko formed a breakaway in the final stretches of the 150.1-kilometer race that began in Calatagan, Batangas.
