By There’s nothing worse than being in a relationship with someone who turned out to be way different from what you’ve expected. Not in a dream girl or ideal guy kind of way, but it turned out that your partner is silently conquering an unseen monster on a ticking time bomb, where it’s only a matter of time before it causes distraction — what makes it worse is they’re on a deadline to deal with its aftermath.
This understandable yet irrational fear is the premise of Norwegian writer-director Kristoffer Borgli’s “The Drama,” a dark comedy — hinging on absurd territory — where Emma (Zendaya) and Charlie (Robert Pattinson) deal with the aftermath of a drunken What’s The Worst Thing You’ve Ever Done game with their best friends Rachel and Mike.
