Super typhoon Bavi is forecast to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday evening, July 7, or early Wednesday, July 8, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Bavi has a low chance of making landfall in the country, and is expected to gradually weaken as it passes near extreme Northern Luzon towards east of Taiwan, according to weather specialist Veronica Torres during Pagasa’s 5 am weather advisory.
