MANILA, Philippines — Over 2,000 complaints have been filed through “Sumbong sa Pangulo” just one week after its launch, Malacañang said on Wednesday.
In a press briefing, Usec. Claire Castro, Palace press officer, noted that the website was launched to encourage the public to directly report suspected irregularities in flood control projects nationwide.
The surge in complaints has prompted President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to order a crackdown on “ghost projects” and the contractors and officials behind them.
