By An enraged Sharon Cuneta belied claims linking her senator husband Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan to resigned Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Elizaldy “Zaldy” Co, including allegations that they, too, received “maletas” (suitcases) containing piles of flood control money.
The allegations came from the 18 self-confessed former bodyguards, drivers, and employees of Co, who said that they delivered “maletas” containing kickbacks from flood control funds obtained by their boss, who is now in hiding in Europe following his release from custody at the Prague in the Czech Republic.
During a press conference on Tuesday, June 16, Co’s bagmen showed photos of the couple with the former politician’s supposed employees from Misibis Aviation and Development Corporation, owned by the now fugitive congressman. While the bagmen did not outrightly name Pangilinan as one of the alleged recipients of the moneys, photos were shown of the couple and other politicians.
