By MANILA, Philippines — The House Committee on Justice has issued a subpoena for Ramil Madriaga and his sworn affidavit against Vice President Sara Duterte, deeming them vital to the impeachment proceedings.
At Wednesday’s hearing, Mamamayang Liberal Party-list Rep. Leila de Lima moved to issue a subpoena duces tecum for Madriaga’s affidavit, in which he asked the Office of the Ombudsman to investigate Duterte for alleged corrupt activities, claiming he was responsible for “transporting large amounts of money to several persons as instructed by VP Sara.”
