MANILA, Philippines — Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla on Monday clarified that his decisions and actions as head of the Office of the Ombudsman were not influenced by any political agenda, describing his current term as the “culmination of a good legal career.”
He made the remark when asked about his agenda amid the anti-graft body’s ongoing investigation into anomalies in the country’s flood control projects, “I have no agenda. I’ll be 71 by the time I finish this term, and I have to skip an election at least,” Remulla said in a recorded interview aired on ANC’s “Headstart” on Monday.
