MANILA, Philippines — Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, and Antique are forecast to experience moderate to heavy rainfall on Sunday due to the southwest monsoon or “habagat”, the state weather bureau said.
In its 5 a.m., heavy rainfall outlook, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that these areas will see 50 to 100 millimeters of rain.
“Forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas. Moreover, impacts in some areas may be worsened by significant antecedent rainfall,” Pagasa said.
