MANILA, Philippines — Rains are expected to persist across most of the country on Tuesday, July 15, due to the southwest monsoon, locally known as the habagat, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In the agency’s morning weather forecast, Pagasa specialist Obet Badrina said the habagat was highly likely to bring rain to the provinces of Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, Palawan, and Southern Leyte.
He also said that the regions of Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Negros Island, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao had a high chance of rain due to the southwest monsoon.
