By Pokwang and Meryll Soriano came to the defense of Joshua Garcia following the online backlash over the actor’s TikTok repost that some netizens interpreted as expressing support for Vice President Sara Duterte, who is facing trial before the Senate impeachment court.
Garcia has been at the center of online discussions for two days after he reposted a curated TikTok video that several netizens linked to a pro-Duterte stance. The Kapamilya actor has yet to publicly address the issue, as of this writing.
During the July 21 episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” host Boy Abunda asked Pokwang and Soriano for their thoughts on the controversy after explaining the circumstances surrounding Garcia’s repost.
