The Philippines ended the 2026 ASEAN Para Games in Thailand last Monday with a haul of 134 medals, marking the country’s best performance since the tournament’s inaugural edition in 2001.
The medal tally — 45 golds, 37 silvers, and 52 bronzes — placed the Philippines fourth overall in the competition.
“I think the key was that both our athletes and coaches were able to really focus. At the same time, we were able to integrate young para-athletes into the team,” said chef de mission Goody Custodio.
