By MANILA, Philippines—NLEX failed to contain Barangay Ginebra import Justin Brownlee, but still came out victorious, 118-113, in the 2026 PBA Commissioner’s Cup at Smart Araneta Coliseum on Friday night.
Brownlee exploded for 46 points that went with eight assists and six rebounds, but Robert Bolick’s game-winner spoiled the Gin Kings’ longtime import’s tremendous night.
“It’s so hard to stop Brownlee. We just looked for a way,” said Bolick, who finished with 32 points, seven assists and four rebounds, in Filipino. “[That shot] was just built on preparation and hard work. I practice that shot every day in practice.”
