By MANILA, Philippines—TNT import Chris McCullough had more than basketball in his mind in Game 6 of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals.
In the Tropang 5G’s 98-90 win over Barangay Ginebra at Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, McCullough drew inspiration from two young athletes whose lives were cut short last week.
Aside from TNT’s fight to keep its season alive, McCullough said he dedicated his performance to Ateneo players Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili, who died in a drowning incident during the Blue Eagles’ team-building activity in Aurora.
