MANILA, Philippines—Converge finally overcame its losing slump after easing past Titan Ultra, 103-82, in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo on Wednesday.
“Bit by bit, the chemistry of these kids are coming around,” coach Delta Pineda said in Filipino. “At least, our numbers in the past four games haven’t been dwindling down. Hindi nagkakalayo. Bit by bit, we’re getting there.”
Leading the charge for the FiberXers, who improved to 2-5, were Justin Arana and Juan Gomez de Liano, who finished with 19 and 15 points, respectively. Import Kylor Kelley was also big with a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds.
