Nocum, one of the Elasto Painters’ starting guards, said the deal was difficult for the entire team to process. Still, he knows the only option is to move forward.
“Of course, we were a bit shocked but coach (Yeng Guiao) told us that it’s part of the job. That’s how life is in the PBA,” he told reporters in Filipino after their 122-114 loss to Meralco in the 2026 PBA Governors’ Cup on Saturday. “Still, I trust my teammates enough right now, same with my coaches.”
