By MANILA, Philippines — Former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson’s call for a protest to remove President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. from office is considered inciting to sedition, Palace press officer Claire Castro said on Tuesday.
“In my opinion, as a lawyer, yes — because encouraging people to overthrow the President, to remove the President, that is inciting to sedition.,” she said at a dzMM interview when asked if Singson’s call is considered inciting to sedition.
