Pagasa: Easterlies bring rain all over PH

MANILA, Philippines — Rainy skies will prevail all throughout the country on Wednesday, brought by easterlies, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its 4 a.m. forecast, the state weather bureau warned of cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, and Davao Occidental due to the same weather system.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated showers or thunderstorms also due to the easterlies.

“Based on our latest satellite animation, we do not see any tropical cyclones or typhoons entering our Philippine area of responsibility until the end of this week,” said Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja.
