MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies and rains will prevail in many parts of the country on Monday due to the shear line, easterlies and the northeast monsoon or amihan, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In a morning forecast, Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies and light rains to Batanes, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
The easterlies, on the other hand, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental.
