By MANILA — Titing Manalili has already cemented himself as Colegio de San Juan de Letran’s go-to playmaker, but the incoming sophomore understands the need to extend his leadership off the court as well.
The Knights will parade a relatively young roster in NCAA Season 102, with rookies George Diamante, Justin Cargo, and Denzil Walker expected to finally be unleashed, and this has heightened Manalili’s sense of urgency.
“Kailangan ko na isipin paano sila alagaan at i-motivate,” said Manalili, who took charge in crunch time to finish with 14 points, three assists, and two rebounds in Letran’s 75-71 overtime victory over College of Saint Benilde in the 19th FilOil Preseason Cup on Wednesday.
