MANILA, Philippines – A low-pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring rains over Eastern and Central Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Davao Region on Sunday, according to the state weather bureau.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) also said the LPA may develop into a tropical depression within the day.
As of 3 a.m., the LPA was spotted 445 kilometers northeast of Surigao del Sur.
