By MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson on Friday said Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano does not have the same decency or respect for the rule of law as the late former Senate President Jose Avelino to resolve the ongoing Senate leadership dispute to the Supreme Court.
With Cayetano still insisting he is Senate president after the leadership shake-up in the Senate on Wednesday, Lacson pointed out the difference between Avelino and Cayetano, whom he branded in a press release on Friday as the “disgraced ex-Senate president.”
