Celebrated every fourth Sunday of January, the Dinagyang Festival is one of Philippines’ most vibrant cultural events. Derived from the Hiligaynon word “dagyang,” meaning merrymaking, the festival showcases dynamic performances by indigenous groups and honors the Sto. Niño, reflecting both cultural pride and deep-rooted faith.
Embodying the spirit of merrymaking, Jollibee and friends joined Ilonggos in celebrating the city’s most anticipated festival through a series of activities throughout the weekend.
As tourists arrived in the Philippines’ “City of Love,” Jollibee warmly welcomed festival goers at Iloilo International Airport last January 23, setting the tone for the festivities ahead.
