ITCZ to bring rains over Southern Mindanao on Monday – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains over southern Mindanao on Monday, May 18, according to the state weather bureau.

The ITCZ, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), refers to the cloud clusters that make up a line where winds from the northern and southern hemispheres meet.

As for the weather forecast in Metro Manila and the rest of the country, hot and humid weather is still expected to prevail amid the continued effect of the easterlies, or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.
