By MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, is forecast to bring rain across the country on Friday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In its 5 a.m. forecast, Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said there is a high chance of rain from afternoon to evening in Metro Manila, Pangasinan, La Union, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, and most parts of Mimaropa (Mindoro Occidental, Mindoro Oriental, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan).
