MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, is expected to bring rain showers to most parts of the country on Saturday, July 11, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
The provinces of Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, and the Western Visayas region can expect moderate to heavy rains due to the southwest monsoon, according to Pagasa specialist Grace Castañeda in the agency’s morning weather forecast
