MANILA, Philippines — Former lawmaker Carlos Zarate on Saturday urged the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to shift to renewable energy amid the ongoing Middle East war.
The former Bayan Muna representative said that while he welcomed the assurance of Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi to allow the safe and expedited passage of Philippine vessels, energy sources and Filipino seafarers, he said that Marcos should not be complacent about this situation.
