By ACT CIS party-list Representative Erwin Tulfo said he would file a measure to institutionalize a pension system for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
In a statement on Sunday, Tulfo said the pension system will allow OFWs to “enjoy benefits upon their retirement from working abroad.”*
According* to Tulfo, under the measure, the OFW and the government will both contribute to the pension fund.
“The government may contribute double or triple the amount of the OFW’s contribution to the pension fund,” the candidate said.
