MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies are prevailing over most parts of the country on Wednesday while the northeast monsoon, or amihan, continues to affect the extreme northern part of Luzon, the state weather bureau said.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the easterlies will bring warm and humid weather with chances of isolated thunderstorms in several parts of the Philippines.
“These easterlies generally carry more moisture, which is why they are also bringing rains to some parts of the country,” Pagasa weather specialist Loriedin De la Cruz-Galicia explained in the agency’s latest bulletin.
