By Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon on Wednesday dismissed claims that a political agenda was included in his recent meeting with Naga City Mayor and former vice president Leni Robredo, saying that he visited the city for work purposes only.
“It’s just work. We have to support all of our mayors, including Mayor Leni. Our mayors have good plans and the national government needs to support them,” Dizon told reporters in an interview in Filipino.
As Dizon inspected the Maharlika Highway and other infrastructure projects in Naga City last Saturday, Robredo said that the secretary committed to the completion and continuity of several projects in the city.
