A temperature between 42°C and 51°C is in the “danger” category, posing health risks such as heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.
Based on its 5 p.m. April 1 bulletin, the state weather bureau said Dagupan City, Pangasinan, may reach a heat index of 43°C.
A heat index of 42°C is expected in Iba, Zambales, and Virac (Synop), Catanduanes.
In Metro Manila, NAIA Pasay City will see a heat index of 40°C, while Science Garden Quezon City will experience 36°C.
