By MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano on Saturday used a Pokémon-inspired analogy involving “Mega Dream,” “heroes,” “villains” and “chaos rising” to explain the ongoing tensions in the Senate to his nephew.
Then, he stopped short of directly addressing reports of efforts to replace him as Senate president.
In a Facebook Live this afternoon, Cayetano said he was prompted to explain “what’s happening” in the Senate after a nephew asked him about the conflicts in the chamber.
