The Philippines capped its impressive debut stint at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Women’s Lacrosse Championship with a dominant 18-6 win over Chinese Taipei, capturing the bronze medal on Saturday in Queensland, Australia.
The victory delivered the country’s first-ever women’s senior medal in any international lacrosse tournament and the first medal for the Philippines’ field lacrosse program.
Steph Lazo, whose four-goal outing during their tournament opener against China proved pivotal, showed up once again in the bronze medal game and dropped five goals this time around.
