MANILA, Philippines — The two low-pressure areas (LPAs) being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) have no direct effect on the country, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Despite this, the southwest monsoon, or habagat, is forecast to continue bringing rains to most parts of the country’s landmass, the weather bureau said in its 5 a.m. forecast.
According to Weather Specialist Loriedin Dela Cruz-Galicia, the first LPA being monitored outside PAR was last spotted 2,030 kilometers east northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon.
