MANILA, Philippines — The southwesterly windflow is forecast to bring rain showers to the western part of Luzon on Thursday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In its 5 a.m. weather forecast, Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said the southwesterly wind flow refers to the winds coming from the West Philippine Sea or the southwestern part of the country.
“The nature of the southwesterly wind flow is it brings rains, light to moderate with at times heavy rains and sometimes strong ones, that can cause flooding and landslides,” Estareja said in Filipino
