By MANILA, Philippines — A rainy Saturday is forecast in Palawan and some parts of Visayas and Mindanao due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) while a big portion of Luzon is expected to sizzle due to easterlies, according to the state weather bureau.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the occurrence of ITCZ, or the convergence of winds coming from northern and southern hemispheres, may form a low-pressure area inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
