By Philippines — The heat index in three areas of the country will reach “danger” levels on Thursday, March 13, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Heat index is defined as the apparent temperature felt by the human body when factoring in humidity.
The heat index is forecast to soar to dangerous levels in Dagupan City, Pangasinan (45°C); Virac, Catanduanes (42°C) and Cotabato City, Maguindanao (42°C), the weather agency said in its forecast on Wednesday evening.
