Weather conditions in Western Visayas are expected to improve this week; however, rain showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoons and evenings, are still likely, according to the latest five-day regional weather outlook issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Monday.
The forecast, which covers July 13 to 17, indicates that Iloilo, Guimaras, Capiz, Aklan, and Antique will generally experience “partly cloudy to cloudy skies” with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, marking an improvement from the widespread heavy rains brought by the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat) over the weekend.
For Monday, temperatures are forecast to range from 23°C to 31°C in Iloilo and Guimaras, and from 25°C to 32°C in Capiz, Aklan, and Antique. From Tuesday through Friday, daytime temperatures across the region are expected to remain between 31°C and 32°C, while nighttime lows will range from 25°C to 26°C.
