By MANILA – The Bureau of Customs – Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA) intercepted two inbound parcels containing approximately 505 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP3.43 million at the Central Mail Exchange Center in Pasay City.
In a statement Wednesday, the bureau reported that the parcels were examined on Tuesday, after being flagged during customs screening and risk assessment procedures. A physical inspection subsequently revealed the suspected illegal drugs concealed within the shipments.
BOC personnel immediately coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group5, and other concerned authorities to conduct the necessary testing, inventory and case documentation.
