MANILA, Philippines — Three individuals were arrested for an alleged illegal liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) operation in Bulacan, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Tuesday, with P1.36 million worth of equipment confiscated.The suspects, whom the police did not identify, were caught during the implementation of a search warrant at their warehouse in Loma de Gato, Marilao, last Thursday, according to the PNP.
“During the search, law enforcement personnel caught three employees of the establishment actively engaged in unauthorized refilling of LPG cylinders without clearance or authority from legitimate brand owners,” the police explained.
Nine refilling heads, several LPG refilling hoses, a motor compressor, and a branded LPG cylinder tank were confiscated from the alleged illegal LPG operation, according to the police, The three arrested suspects were taken into the CIDG’s custody, awaiting charges for violation of Republic Act No. 11592 or the LPG Industry Regulation Act. /mcm
