By MANILA, Philippines—Ralph Cu hasn’t been seeing much action for Barangay Ginebra in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
“I just wanted to stay ready all throughout the game,” said Cu, whose 3-point barrage came after a pair of scoreless outings in his last two games. “I give credit to my teammates, they get a lot of attention from the defense and I was the one who got open so it’s good that I repaid their trust.”
Cu was a spark off the bench with 15 points on a blistering 5-of-7 shooting from long range in just 20 minutes of action. He played just 14 minutes in a 112-91 loss to Meralco on Friday and logged only seven minutes the previous two games combined against Titan Ultra and Blackwater.
