By TUGUEGARAO—Russian rider Ivan Anisimov took a second straight lap victory after ruling Stage 5 of the MPTC Tour of Luzon that concluded in another mass finish on a hot Sunday afternoon in this city.
The LCW UAE Cycle rider was part of a group of 48 cyclists that battled it out for a stage win before a big crowd in front of City Hall here and clocked two hours, 47 minutes and 26 seconds.
Excellent Noodles skipper Ryan Tugawin came close to beating Anisimov but could only settle for second place while Seoul Cycling Team’s Jung Hoon Lee claimed a podium finish after placing third with identical lap times.
