By LUCENA CITY — A suspected high-value drug trafficker was arrested on Saturday in a buy-bust operation in Cainta, Rizal, resulting in the seizure of more than P2.7 million worth of shabu (crystal meth).
The Rizal Police Provincial Office said local anti-narcotics operatives collared the suspect, identified as “Has,” at 11:15 p.m. after he allegedly sold P16,000 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer.
Confiscated from the suspect were seven heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing a total of 410 grams and valued at approximately P2,788,000, Has is classified on the police drug watch list as a high-value individual in the illegal drug trade, a category that includes traffickers, financiers, and members of drug syndicates.
