MANILA – Malacañang on Wednesday pushed back against criticism that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is preoccupied with building his legacy, stressing that the Chief Executive remains focused on governance and addressing the effects of the Middle East crisis.
“Hindi po focus ang Pangulo sa legasiya. Ang Pangulo po ay nagtatrabaho (The President is not focused on his legacy. The President is busy working),” Castro said, emphasizing that Marcos wants ongoing reforms, particularly anti-corruption initiatives, to continue beyond his term.
