MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Sunday pledged his commitment to safeguarding the rights and welfare of Filipino women, as the country marked International Women’s Day and National Women’s Month.
In a message released by Malacañang, Marcos underscored the central role women have played in shaping the nation, describing them as a driving force behind the country’s identity and future, “Rest assured that this administration remains steadfast in its commitment to ensure that every woman is heard, respected and empowered in our society,” the president said.
